Re: Sugar water recipe. Post: # 1589 MESSOR. Thu Aug 06, 2015 7:19 am. Just boil abit of water an let the sugar dissolve, then wait for it to cool. There are no measurements, enough water to keep it in liquid form and not too much sugar so when it cools its does not crystallize. But dont mix allot as it ferments after a couple of days. There is no need to actually infuse; just substitute juiced fruit or veg for the water when making the syrup. Without a juicer: Make the infusion with 1 part water, 1 1/2 parts sugar, and 2 parts finely shredded (or a chunky purée of) vegetables such as carrots, beets, celery, etc., or crushed or finely chopped fruit. Steps: 1. Mix sugar and boiling water until sugar is dissolved. 2. Cool and fill feeder. 3. Hang up your feeder outside and wait for the hummingbirds to come. Mix brown sugar with water in a pan and heat the mixture on low to medium heat. Stir the mixture occasionally while heating it. For a thin and runny syrup, heat the brown sugar only until it has fully dissolved in the water. Then, add a teaspoon of water at a time if the syrup is a little thicker than desired.
STEP 2. Add four cups of sugar and one cup of water to a saucepan the following day and heat until boiling. Heating the water to dissolve the sugar is the key to making your supersaturated solution. Create the sugar solution: Heat water in a saucepan until it just begins to boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Step 1: Melt the sugar. Pour the water into a 3-quart (or larger) heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add the sugar and whisk lightly with a fork to incorporate it into the water, taking care not to splash onto the sides of the pan. Heat the mixture over medium heat for about 6 to 8 minutes.

You can use simple syrup to sweeten wine by adding it to the wine a little at a time until it reaches the desired sweetness. nTO7E.
